Kistler Model 8690C PiezoSMART® Triaxial Accelerometer
The Kistler 8690C series of PiezoSMART® accelerometers simultaneously measures vibration in three, mutually perpendicular axes (x, y and z). They feature high sensitivity and can operate both as a standard low impedance, voltage mode sensor with a conventional analog output signal or in a digital "PiezoSMART Sensor Mode" capable of providing pertinent information stored with in its memory module. Since the design of the accelerometer conforms to a universal standard (IEEE P1451.4), any commercially manufactured TEDS Signal Conditioner, along with a host computer, will address and retrieve the stored information.
These lightweight triaxial accelerometers reduce mass loading in multi-channel data acquisition or modal applications. The smart sensor operating mode allows information regarding accelerometer location and position direction to be entered and accessed by a host signal/data acquisition processor. This series of triaxial sensors, with an integral four-pin connector, is designed for simplified installation in confined areas. Each unit may be mounted on any of three surfaces. The 8690(X)M10 triaxial PiezoSMART accelerometers like the standard PiezoBEAM series, offer outstanding phase response, thermal stability, as well as wide frequency range. They are constructed of light weight aluminum, epoxy sealed for environmental protection and feature a hard anodized surface coating which provides ground isolation. • Low impedance voltage mode • Incorporates "TEDS" smart sensor technology • High sensitivity • Low cost, lightweight triaxial design • High accuracy, excellent thermal stability • Choice of ranges and sensitivities • Conforming to CE Kistler Model 8690C PiezoSMART® Triaxial Accelerometer |
